Festival of the Year Award

Local Promoter of the Year Award

    • Objective: To honor a local promoter for their dedication and contribution to their regional music scene.
    Criteria: Local engagement, ability to promote new talent, support for the local music scene, and quality of events organized.

Label of the Year Award

    • Objective: To highlight a label that has significantly contributed to the growth of artists and musical diversity.
    Criteria: Project success, diversity of musical genres, and support for emerging artists.

Arena of the Year Award

    • Objective: To reward a venue that has provided a unique experience through its programming and facilities.
    Criteria: Quality of infrastructure, diversity of programming, audience experience, and local economic impact.

Producer of the Year Award

    • Objective: To celebrate a producer for their talent and expertise in delivering exceptional live music productions.
    Criteria: Innovation, success of productions, contribution to the music scene, and overall quality of shows.

Theatre of the Year Award

    • Objective: To reward a theatre for its musical and stage programming that has attracted a broad audience.
    Criteria: Quality of programming, diversity of events, audience experience, and attendance.

Artist of the Year Award

    • Objective: To celebrate an artist for their outstanding contribution to the music scene.
    Criteria: Creativity, popularity, commercial success, cultural impact, and artistic innovation.

Stadium of the Year Award

    • Objective: To recognize a stadium that has hosted large-scale concerts delivering an unparalleled fan experience.
    Criteria: Capacity, event organization, quality of audience experience, and success of concerts.

Tour of the Year Award

    • Objective: To honor a tour for its commercial success and emotional impact on audiences.
    Criteria: Number of dates, commercial performance, emotional resonance, and production creativity.

Publisher of the Year Award

    • Objective: To highlight a music publisher for their innovation and contribution to the promotion of new musical works.
    Criteria: Contribution to music publishing, support for songwriters and composers, and innovation in publishing.

Service Provider of the Year Award

    • Objective: To reward a service provider for their expertise and added value to music events.
    Criteria: Quality of services, technological innovation, and contribution to event success.

Sponsor of the Year Award

    • Objective: To honor a sponsor that has supported the music industry in a creative and impactful way.
    Criteria: Originality of campaigns, brand impact, and commitment to music.

Event of the Year Award

    • Objective: To highlight a music event that successfully combined performance, innovation, and popular success.
    Criteria: Quality of programming, audience experience, originality of the concept, and public success.

Innovation Award – MIDEM Awards

    • Objective: To recognize a groundbreaking innovation in the music industry (technology, format, business model, sustainable initiative, etc.).
    • Criteria: Creativity, industry impact, relevance for artists and audiences, and potential for international scalability.
    Process: Pre-selection by a specialized jury (innovation experts, startups, labels, cultural incubators), followed by the designation of the winner by this jury.

Concert Photographer of the Year – powered by Getty 

    • Objective: To celebrate a concert photographer who has successfully captured the essence of live performance through their work.
    • Criteria: Artistic quality, storytelling power, international reach, and audience engagement.
    Process: Joint pre-selection with Getty Images, followed by a public vote through MIDEM’s social media channels.
