Music Moves Europe (MME) is the European Commission's overarching framework to support a healthy European ecosystem that is competitive, sustainable and promotes diversity.

Artists can benefit from the initiative both directly and indirectly. The recent adoption of the new Copyright Directive will soon have a direct impact on artists by facilitating fairer remuneration of creation. On the funding site, artists benefit from support granted under Creative Europe, including the new Music Moves Europe Talent Awards. They will also benefit from the results of MME calls for proposals to promote the professionalisation of artists, and help their creativity through the organisation of residencies, creative camps and other co-production schemes. The support for small music clubs will help maintain a rich European club culture, which is considered vital for emerging bands to reach and develop their audience. The new mobility scheme of Creative Europe will also facilitate the cross-border circulation of artists and music professionals.
