Solange Cesarovna, President of the Cabo Verdean Music Society is a singer and a Songwriter, considered by critics as the Queen of Morna of the 21st Century, humanist woman, ambassador of peace and copyright in the world, with a unique and peculiar voice, able to take the culture of her country to the world, with its energetic and solar way of being on stage.


In June 2013, Solange participated in the creation of the Cabo Verdean Music Society- SCM, along with several cabo-verdeans authors, composers, musicians, interpreters, editors, producers and musicologists.


SCM - Entity for the Collective Management that defense authors Rights and Related Rights, borned with the aim to give to the country, an EGC in representation of all those who integrate the music sector, for the beginning of the collection and distribution of royalties owed for the use of works and musical recordings in Cabo Verde.


Solange was elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2018 as President of SCM, making significant changes within the landscape of copyright in the country. It is under his presidency that in 2017 the SCM joins the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers - CISAC.


In January 2019 Solange is elected as a Permanent Observer member of the International Council of Music Creators - CIAM.



SCM is the Cabo Verde Music CMO, managing both copyright and neighboring rights for music rightholders
