Speaker Profile

Shaw Sandie

Job TitleArtist & Honorary President

Company NameFeatured Artists Coalition (UK)

Sandie Shaw was the biggest selling international British female artist of the Sixties. Since the age of 17 the multi award winning recording artist has been self producing, self financing, and self marketing her own recordings: the only artist of her generation to do so. During a career spanning five decades she has owned the copyright of her catalogue of over 300 songs. She feels that this has led to her creative, financial and human independence and to longevity in an industry that is renowned for its throwaway  attitude towards the artists at its heart.

She now spends her time promoting and campaigning for the interests and  rights of other music artists as a director of International Artist Organisation, and as Honorary President of the UK’s Featured Artist Coalition.
