"The Kenyan musical phenomenon."

SAUTI SOL was formed in 2006 by four friends who love music and giving people fantastic musical experiences. Since their beginning, Bien, Chimano, Polycarp and Savara have since honed their craft and become the most celebrated East African act of all time.

Their music is a blend of resonant pop lyrics with traditional Kenyan influences and soulful vocals that connects with listeners all over the world.

Aptly crowned the Best African Act at the MTV European Music Awards, Sauti Sol performances are an exuberant expression of musicianship where all their unique talents come together as one to give audiences an experience filled with energy, dancing and a whole lot of fun!

Their current project is the Afrikan Sauce LP, a collaborative effort featuring the biggest artists on the continent such as Patoranking, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy. A tour-de-force of African ingenuity, the lead single, Melanin, was an instant hit with the vibrant video garnering a whooping 4.6 million views on YouTube within a month of release. To date this is the only video by a Kenyan artist to hit over 10 million views.

The success of this LP was preceded by their critically acclaimed self-produced album Live and Die in Afrika (LADIA) which propelled them to a level of success seldom reached by East African artists. The album included hits such as “Still the One” and the break out single “Sura Yako” that launched the group to international markets. Sauti Sol received global press coverage when President Obama danced to “Sura Yako” and commented on the band’s influence in the United States.

In 2018 the Melanin World Tour  set off and has seen Sauti Sol perform in four continents, over 15 countries and numerous cities! From performing in Australia for the first time to headlining Lake of Stars Festival alongside industry heavyweights Major Lazer, the band has shared unforgettable experiences with their fans backed by a stream of hit singles.

Set for release in Spring 2019, the next Sauti Sol album pays homage to their roots and the new sounds of urban Africa. Coupling this with international sonic and visual collaborators, this body of work will be an artistic journey unlike anything before.
