Midem’s music networking events

To keep pace with changes in how people discover and consume music, the international music industry must forge new partnerships to reach audiences, drive growth, and improve reputation. Midem combines expertly curated industry programming with tailored music networking events, online and around the world, to provide a platform for music professionals to meet and exchange. We aim to support music professionals from around the world and stimulate international exchanges to boost business development and talent discovery.

Music Networking Week

Midem’s support for  the global music community continues with the launch of Music Networking Week. This new digital event enables you to find the best international partner to grow your business.

At a time when the global music community is grounded due to travel bans, the need is stronger than ever for our industry to stay connected. Following a groundbreaking Digital Edition in June, we’re now providing a fresh chance for the music community to come together, network and access real business opportunities around the world: Music Networking Week, from 30 November to 4 December 2020.

It will include a series of speed-meetings, Q&As and innovative networking formats to allow you to meet leading executives from all around the world and across multiple sectors of the industry. Connect with your peers, grow your international network and start conversations you will be able to pursue all-year-round on the Midem Digital platform!

The importance of networking in the music industry

In today’s music industry, it’s all about who you know. If you are trying to build a career in music, it is crucial to create networking opportunities and mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with your partners. Success in the music business depends on the strength of your network with other specialized professionals and companies. Midem helps you to grow your business and reputation worldwide by designing targeted networking events to connect with local and international partners before, during and after the event.

Whether you are a student, artist, marketer, label executive, publisher, booking agent, or startup founder, one of the keys to long-term success is networking to build up a list of influential contacts. Attending Midem means being part of the global music ecosystem and creating your own personal music community.

Face-to-face meeting accelerate business

Social media platforms are an extremely important tool for music professionals to develop their network of contacts across the world and interact with clients, other specialists, and music fans. You can build a working relationship over the internet, but meeting someone face to face speeds up the process and trumps all other connections. It is crucial to connect your digital world to the real world and take your business to the next level through real-life meetings with the decision-makers, influencers and organisations shaping the future of the international music industry.

Midem gathers all the bellwethers of the international music ecosystem

We collaborate with key institutions and associations to bring together the inspirational leaders of tomorrow's music community. Throughout this gathering, participants contribute to and attend panels, pitches, conferences, case studies, meeting sessions, workshops, and live performances in order to nurture new ideas and enjoy extensive networking opportunities. At Midem you can meet the people who matter in major music markets and high-potential regions and access key players across all industry sectors.
