|| NETWORKING & MEETINGS

You can find other participants from the Midem Digital platform through several sections:

  • Via the « Network » section on your Midem Digital platform customised homepage.
  • Via the search bar, on top of all pages of the Midem Digital plaform.
  • Via the « Recommended for you » section on the left navigation bar present on all pages of the Midem Digital plaform
  • Via the different participants’ sections on the left navigation bar present on all pages of the Midem Digital plaform: Midem Members, Midem Members+ and Speakers.

Once you find a participant of interest, click on the participant’s profile to access complete information on this person.

The company name will appear on each participant’s profile.

By using the search bar, you will be able to find all the participants related to a specified company. Besides, for each profile, a company description as well as the company activity can be added.

You can initiate a connection with a participant by clicking on the “Show interest” button on the participant’s profile.

For the connection to be established between you two, the other participant will have to show interest in you too.

Once connected, the interested tool allows you to open the conversation to start chatting, learn more about each other and request a meeting when available.

All the profiles you have shown interest into will be listed in the section “My interested list”.

And all the profiles who have shown interest in you will be listed in the section "Interested in you".

When browsing through the participants’ profiles, you have the possibility to skip a particular profile.  This profile won’t be recommended to you anymore.

Please note skipping a profile doesn't mean it is gone forever. You can revisit it and make changes in your "Skip list".

To enable the chat option, you will need to have a mutual interest in each other using the "Show interest” button on each participant’s profile. As explained in section above “What does show interest mean?”, start by showing interest in a participant, then wait for him or her to show interest in return

Once you are mutually connected, you will receive a notification and the option to chat with the participant will be available to you. Then, click on the chat icon to open a chat window.

Please note that having a confirmed meeting with an attendee will allow you to start chatting with him/her.

To set-up a virtual meeting with a participant from the Midem Digital platform, you will need to have a mutual interest in each other, using the "Show interest" tool, as explained in section above “What does show interest mean?”.

Once you share a mutual interest:

  • Step 1: find the participant’s profile in your list “My connections”, click on the participant’s profile and click on “request a meeting”. The system will automatically suggest you mutual time slots, based on your indicated availabilities (see section below: “How to manage my availabilities?”), so make sure your agenda is up to date by updating your availabilities on your profile. Once ready, send your request.
  • Step 2: when the meeting is confirmed, you will find it listed in “My Schedule”. Click on “Open the Virtual Room” to access the meeting and follow the instructions on your screen.

Please note the “Virtual Meetings” feature isn’t open all the time on Midem Digital. It is activated during specific events, for specific participants’ profiles.

To manage your availability schedule, you need to go to your profile and click on “Manage my availability”. Your availability calendar will appear.

Please note that the time indicated in your “My Schedule” section is your local time.

If you are booked for a meeting, the timeslot will be marked with your meeting details. If you do not want to take meeting requests on a particular timeslot, mark them as unavailable in a simple click.

When you are done editing your availability schedule, do not forget to click on “Save”.

The time base will be set up on your own time zone. You can manage your availabilities if you are unavailable (see section above: “How to manage my availabilities?”).

Once the meeting is accepted, the Virtual Meeting Room button will appear on your « My Schedule » section on the left navigation bar (if it’s pending or cancelled, the Virtual Room won’t be available).

The Virtual Meeting Room button will be clickable 5 mins before the Virtual meeting starts.

Once you click on the Virtual Meeting Room button, you'll have access to the Virtual Meeting Room for the duration of the meeting. Once the meeting time has expired, you won’t be able to access your Virtual Meeting Room.

You will be able to share your screen if needed. Prepare in a dedicated folder on your desktop all the documents, videos, audios and presentations you’d like to show. We recommend you to share your contact details with your meeting partner in case you are disconnected.

Please note you won’t be able to record your meeting.

It is possible to have a maximum of 4 people connecting at the same time during a video meeting.

Click on the button "Add invitee" and ask another participant to join the meeting.

If the main participant is unable to attend one meeting, this person can transfer the meeting to a registered colleague.
