Midem 2020, scheduled to take place June 2-5, in Cannes, has been cancelled. Midem is re-loading with the Midem Digital Edition.

Due to continued concerns associated with the coronavirus, Midem 2020, scheduled to take place June 2-5, in Cannes, has been cancelled. The next edition of Midem is programmed for June 1-4, 2021, in Cannes.

“In the rapidly-evolving context and with the various government guidelines on travel, public gatherings and home confinement, coupled with companies’ concerns for their staff, holding Midem in June is simply not possible,” said Alexandre Deniot, Midem Director.

Midem is re-loading with a new digital service the Midem Digital Edition. This service will be available to all of the music industry with livestreamed keynote sessions, talks and presentations, as well as opportunities for online conversations and speed meetings with other participants.

Stay tuned for details. Stay safe.

Women in Music

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’ve decided to put the spotlight on some of the exciting initiatives actively working on changing the narrative and supporting women in music. We’ve asked the ladies behind Women in Music, Keychange, and Felin/MEWEM how the place and role of the women in the music industry has changed in the past years.

Global Indie Voices

Ahead of the third edition of the Global Indie voices at Midem, we’ve produced a series of interviews with Merlin’s newly appointed CEO Jeremy Sirota, IMPALA’s Chairman Kees Van Weijen, WIN’s COO Charlie Philipps and IMPF’s President Pierre Mossiat to get a sense of the key trends shaking the independent music ecosystem.
