  • What is Midemlab?

    Midemlab, the international music startup competition, is running its 11th edition in 2018.

    Since its inception in 2008, 217 music startups from 31 countries have taken part in the competition.

    Midemlab features the most promising international music startups that offer innovative solutions, helping the music industry build new consumer experiences.

    Find new business partners and raise funds; pitch your music startup and get recognition from the industry; make sure the international press hears about your product; get advice from tech & music pros, and more.

    20 finalists will be chosen through the call for entries to pitch at Midem by our selecting partners Kima Ventures, Music Ally and Bluenove.

    • A new company (less than 5 years old),
    • Business-ready: already launched or in beta,
    • Independent, not affiliated to a group,
    • Genuinely original and innovative, with international viability.

  • Key dates

    • Early January: Call for entries opens

    • Early May: Finalists announced
    • June 6th: Finalists pitch their business model at Midem
