Register as a journalist

midem welcomes journalists from over 27 countries from around the world.

The press department does its best to accommodate all requests for media accreditation, while weighing the need to balance international, national, local, trade and general media, as well as the pertinence of the media for our clients. As a result, there is no guarantee that an accreditation request will be accepted.

Registered journalists can access the entire exhibition floor, the complete conference programme and a fully-equipped editorial room.

  • Registration conditions

    • Must be a fulltime journalist
    • Necessary materials listed below must be sent to the press accreditation service
    • Press accreditation at previous midem events does not guarantee automatic renewal
    • Non-editorial staff (advertising, sales, marketing, PR, publisher,...) should register as visitors

    • 18 January 2012: Press registration deadline
  • Press accreditation step by step

    • Send all registration requirements indicated below to the press accreditation service (by fax, email or post c/o the press department).
      For print media only : If you are attending for the first time, please supply your request by post (Reed MIDEM, 11 rue du colonel Pierre Avia 75726 Paris Cedex 15) along with a hard copy of the publication and all the credentials requirements (see below).
    • Within a week, you will receive an email confirming your press registration or we will contact you directly (email or telephone) if your accreditation has been refused or if we need extra information.
    • Two weeks prior to the market, you will receive your e-ticket by email, which will help you to collect your badge quickly on-site. Please note that this document is not mandatory to collect your badge on-site.
    • Your official badge must be collected from the Press Registration desk only in Cannes.
  • Register as a journalist, freelance or online journalist

    • Press registration form
    • Commissioning letter from your editor in chief
    • Copy of your press card
    • Recent by-lined article (less than 6 months old)
  • Register as a photographer

    • Press registration form
    • Copy of press card
    • Commissioning letter from your editor in chief
  • Register as a broadcast or radio journalist

    • Press registration form
    • Copy of press card
    • A letterhead from the broadcaster confirming when and on which program the report will be broadcast
    • Copy of your press card
    • A DVD or an Internet link to the last broadcast of the program
