Focus on the marketing campaign competition

14 Dec 2011

The midem marketing campaign competition offers advertising, marketing and communication agencies, as well as record labels and artists’ managers, the opportunity to present their campaign in front of a qualified audience made up of record industry members, technology company executives, brands and members of the media.

Contagious, the ad industry’s authority on creativity & innovation, has picked the 10 finalists from among numerous submissions to midem. Of the submitted campaigns, 23% came from transport brands, 21% from major retail names, 19% technology brands, 17% from the luxury and beauty sector, 7% from entertainment, 7% leisure, 4% finance and 2% from institutions. These campaigns all have one thing in common: a strong musical element, either through the use of a synchronisation, artist/brand endorsement, live sponsoring, talent discovering or creating a record label.
