The Marketing Campaign Competition is one of the brand-new events featured at midem 2012. It offers ad agencies a chance to showcase their innovative uses of music in advertising and marketing. A panel of industry leaders will judge the entries and select a winner. We are extremely proud to include Nick Bailey, the Executive Creative Director at AKQA Amsterdam, among the panel of judges.

It has offered a stunning record of technical innovation, design sensibility, and business acumen that is unmatched by other digital agencies. Named by Adweek as one of the world’s top ten creative minds in digital, Nick Bailey leads the creative output of AKQA's Amsterdam office, servicing Nike, EA Sports, Heineken, Diageo and Tommy Hilfiger. He has been recognised with over 60 international awards, recently earning a gold Cannes Lion for Heineken Star Player, a world-first dual-screen mobile and social football game.

Prior to AKQA, Nick worked at LBi on Mercedes Benz, Abbey, BT and Vodafone. He joined AKQA in 2004 as lead writer on the Nike Account, where he created some of the brand's most notable work including Nike Photo iD, Supersonic, and Nike Live. Nick recently oversaw a successful campaign at the intersection of music and marketing that serves as an excellent example to Marketing Campaign Competition entrants. In October 2011, he helped launch a short online film for Nike+ featuring English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding that helped Nike gain thousands of impressions and social media connections.

With his unique creativity and impeccable business credentials, Nick Bailey brings a high level of expertise to midem. In addition to judging the Marketing Campaign Competition, Nick will also join an invitation-only roundtable at midem’s Marketing Soundbox. We are thrilled to announce Nick’s involvement at midem 2012, and we are certain that his wisdom and talent will provide a valuable experience for all in attendance.
