  • What is midemconnect?
    midemconnect is the online database for midem participants. It enables its participants to showcase their catalogues and services. This tool is designed to help you network, organize meetings and increase your visibility. This updated version of the online database offers a simplified, intuitive and user-friendly interface to make any show a success.
  • What's the difference between public and private online database versions?
    The public version of the online database enables anyone to browse the list of attending companies and catalogues/services showcased at midem. The private version is reserved for registered delegates. It provides access to the participants' and companies' full profiles, as well as their catalogues and services. Contact details are only visible in the full version.
  • Where can I find additional information about the online database?

  • Why do my login and password not work?
    The process to connect to the new online database has changed. Your username is now your email address and you can choose your own password. Former logins and passwords may only be used by visitors to book their accommodation.
  • How can I create my profile to access the online database?
    Once registered, you will receive an automatic email that includes an activation link to create your account and choose your own password. When you click on the link, you are invited to choose your password and save it. You will then receive an email notification to confirm the creation of your profile in the online database. You may then log in and get connected.
  • What should I do if I do not receive the activation link?
    The activation link is sent to delegates once their registration has been processed (within 72 hours of receipt of contract). A "Preparation tips" email confirms your registration.
    Once you are registered, please make sure to check your inbox to see if the activation link email is in your spam/junk file. Be sure to check the email account that was specified in your contract with Reed MIDEM. For any questions, please contact customerhelpdesk@reedmidem.com.
  • How do I connect to the online database?
    You may either click on the link included in your profile creation confirmation email or click on the "login" button at the top-right corner of the midem website.
  • How does it work if I represent several companies at the same event?
    If you represent two or more companies you will have access to each company portal for each show you attend, and you can also update each one.
  • How can I change my email address?
    To change an email address currently being used as a username to connect to the online database as well as for communication with Reed MIDEM, please contact registration.deptmidem@reedmidem.com.
    You may wish to change only the email address that is visible to online database users. You can do so by simply updating your online profile (please note that in this case, your username and contacts with Reed MIDEM will not change).
  • Why can't I see all participants' email addresses?
    Each participant decides whether s/he wants to display her/his email addresses to online database users. If you cannot see an email address, you may still contact a participant by clicking on the "contact" button. The participant will receive an email notification directly in her/his email inbox. In order to reply to your message, the participant will have to connect to the online database.
  • How can I update my personal profile?
    Once you are connected to the online database, select "My Profile" and update your information. Please note that your changes will only be visible to the online database users. If you wish to inform Reed MIDEM of any change in your details, please contact registration.deptmidem@reedmidem.com.
  • Who can update my Company Profile?
    Each delegate has the ability to modify the Company Profile of each company to which s/he is attached. Usually, however, just one person within the company organisation is designated to update the Company Profile. All delegates can then use the online database to build their own personal contacts and networks.
    You access the company profile on "my profile" page and click on "edit"
  • How can I search for a participant, a company, a catalogue or a service?
    You can either do a search by keyword or through the faceted search function. The faceted search enables you to apply filters to your search and immediately get all the results on the same page.
  • How does the online database help me to prepare for the show?
    Via the online database, you can bookmark participants, companies, catalogues and services. You can contact other delegates by email or through the internal messaging tool.
  • How does the online database help to promote my company and increase my visibility?
    You can easily update your Company Profile, including social media links and company documents. You can also gain visibility within your business community by promoting your catalogues (audio/video files , product sheets) or services. If you are an exhibitor, you can highlight your affiliates or partners by adding them in the stand sharers tab.
  • How can I be sure to increase my visibility?
    You can easily benefit from new e-products such as the Advanced Company Profile and targeted banners.
  • How can I track who has visited my profile?
    You can track your online activity on your "Company Portal": # times your company profile and your products have been viewed, website referrals, shortlisted products, shortlisted profile.
    If you subscribe to the Advanced Company Profile option, you will have access to a detailed report to download on your portal, including the names and emails of the delegates who visited your Company Profile.
  • How may I upload video files?
    Please go the company portal > catalogue, create first a new music catalogue, save it and then click on "add youtube video".
    Copy /paste a link from youtube. Use a regular youtube link such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGTN8zDsSps (and not the short links)
  • Which web browsers can I use to access the online database?
    To use the Online Database, one of the following systems is required: Internet Explorer 7 and above, Firefox 3.6 or Chrome.
