After graduating from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Mathematics, Tom decided he didn’t want to be a banker and pursued his musical interests. As a session musician and recording artist, Tom played with several major label and independent artists. After placing a number of his own tracks in various US TV shows and commercials, Tom realised he had a knack for Synchronisation and entered the world of music publishing. After spending a number of years at Warner/Chappell he accepted a role heading up Universal Music Publishing’s UK sync licensing division where he manages a vibrant team of executives. His responsibilities include securing and negotiating sync placements across a diverse roster of writers including Florence and the Machine, Coldplay, Adele, Disclosure and Irving Berlin.
