JANUS FRIIS, CO-FOUNDER OF JOOST, KAZAA AND SKYPE, DELIVERS KEYNOTE AT MIDEMNET

Janus Friis, the Danish visionary who revolutionised consumer habits for digital content worldwide by creating KaZaA (music), Skype (telephony), then Joost (television), will deliver a keynote speech at the MidemNet Forum. The international conference program on the latest in new technologies and new economic models in the music industry, MidemNet, takes place 26 to 27 January 2008 in Cannes as part of MIDEM.

“Barely into his thirties, Janus Friis has already managed to turn the world of content access on its head through the numerous projects he has launched with Niklas Zennström,” said Dominique Leguern, Director of MIDEM. “As keynote speaker at MidemNet, he will provide participants with the global vision of an entrepreneur who has an unrivalled track record in the art of sensing and anticipating upcoming trends in this field and creating new economic models for the industry.”
