SERVICES BEFORE THE SHOW
ONLINE AT MIDEM.COM
  • NEW! MIDEMWorld, our online matchmaking community, replaces the MIDEM database. Access is given when you register for MIDEM - you are automatically sent a personal login & password. You can therefore prepare your show to the full by contacting other delegates (i.e. future business contacts) right before the show.
  • Hotel reservation service (available for participants without stand only)
  • Use the MIDEM Interactive Floorplan to help you find your way around MIDEM.
  • Use the Cannes Interactive Map to help you find your way around the city.
  • Use dedicated MIDEM banners to place on your website should you wish to link it to ours. You can personalise this banner with your booth number before displaying it on your website.
  • Download a handy calendar all of the events taking place at MIDEM 2008! It contains all you need to know to enjoy some of the most prestigious events happening in Cannes this season!
  • The Exhibitor’s Technical Manual presents all the necessary information to set up your stand.
  • Download a handy Welcome Pack before you even leave for MIDEM. This useful tool contains everything you need to plan the market!

  • MIDEM Magazine Preview Edition
    Sent to all delegates before the show, this magazine means you arrive in Cannes fully up to date on what’s in store.
  • Organise your tax refund
    All non-French delegates are eligible for a tax refund. Tevea International, our official tax representative, will be present onsite in the Registration Area during the market. For information ahead of the market, please contact Tevea International on +33 (0)1 42 24 96 96 or download more information here.
    You may also ask for VAT refund by yourself. Please consult the French Customs website.
  • Arrange an Event
    Our events team have experience arranging meetings, press conferences, breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, cocktails, parties and more.

    Your FREE copy of the full MIDEM Guide is available at the dedicated desks. Please present your badge to collect it.

The Orientation cocktail party on Sunday 27 January at 10.30, LaVerrière, 1st floor of the Palais des Festivals: meet the MIDEM team and receive market tips over a glass of champagne. The cocktail will conclude with a guided tour of the exhibition.

    Reserved for participants without a stand, the MIDEM Avenue - Lobby offers :
    - Business support team: the MIDEM team are around the market in the MIDEM Avenue – Lobby to offer one-to-one assistance on how to find the right leads and generally make the most of your MIDEM.

  • The Law Offices & Anti-Piracy assistance
    The international legal experts of the MIDEM Law Offices offer complimentary legal advice and help in your negotiations throughout MIDEM. Appointments can be booked with the Law Offices hostess. The MIDEM Law Offices lawyers also assist MIDEM in their support against music piracy in all its forms.

MIDEM 2008 Free Shuttle Service

A shuttle service is provided for hotels situated outside Cannes. This is a complimentary service for our participants.
New this year, the service will begin on Saturday 26 January:
  • 26 – 30 January: 8.30 - 13.00 and from 17.00 until midnight.
  • 31 January: 8.30 – 13.00 and from 14.30 until 17.00.
  • For the Opening Night Party (Sunday 27 January), the service will be extended until 01.00am from the Martinez hotel.

  • Wi-Fi Connection
    Available in the Palais via the SFR Network. Sessions can only be purchased online and onsite :
    - Switch on your wifi system and select the SFR Network (SSID)
    - Launch Internet Explorer or other browser : SFR homepage will appear with instructions on how to purchase the access
    - For assistance onsite, you may inquire at the SFR Wifi Desk inside the Palais des Festivals, Hall 01 or call (33).4.92.99.84.11 or ext. 8411 within the Palais des Festivals.
  • Rent a Mobile / 3G Data card rental
    CellHire (Mobile and Wireless data card rental) is MIDEM's mobile telephone partner, allowing you to enjoy the benefits of an international cellular phone during the market. For more information, please click here.

    Bilingual hostesses will help you at your service to answer any questions and help you with orientation.
  • Cloakroom (Palais des Festivals – Hall 01, behind the stairs)
    Free cloakrooms are available inside the Palais des Festivals.
  • Left Luggage (Outside the Palais des Festivals, to the right as you exit Registration (between the Palais des Festivals and Riviera buildings).)
  • Safety Deposit (Palais des Festivals – Level 0)
    At your disposal for valuables (lap tops, cameras,...).
  • Lost and Found Property Office: If you lose an item during the market, just call 8768.
  • Payphones: Located near the central lifts and bars in the Palais des Festivals.
  • Cashpoint / ATM Machine: Located in the Tourism Offices outside the Palais des Festivals.
