MIDEM CLASSICAL AWARDS
Following the success of the past three MIDEM Classical Awards, the event aims to mark outstanding achievements in the international classical music scene and took place in Cannes on Wednesday, January 30, 2008.

The 2008 edition's winners are consultable in full here;

The winners of the Awards' special categories are:

- Label of the Year: BIS Records (Sweden)
- Artist of the Year: David Zinman
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Christa Ludwig

Overall, 562 CD/DVD productions were submitted, from 111 labels from 23 countries.
